I’ve spent the last few months trying to fix bugs, improve performance and add quality of life improvements to IPBan Pro. With the release of 2.3.0, the following features are available:
– Tools menu of web admin or personal edition has a firewall query option. This will grab the firewall rules from any client that IPBan Pro has created. This should save having to manually run powershell scripts to get the raw rules. You can change the fqdn in the query string after you click the link to pick a machine.
– There is an auto update option now in the web admin and personal edition. You can click this to auto update if you see a new version. You don’t have to use this mechanism and can still manually download the new versions and install using the update (U) option.
– The network adapter priority (interface metric) is now used to sort machine ip addresses when attempting to grab the primary ip address of a machine.
– New option to trim user name characters. This defaults to the @ sign for new installs, but for existing installs you must manually add this in the client settings area.
– Minor bug fixes and performance improvements.
